State metrological control includes:

·      State testing and type approval of measuring instruments;

·      Mandatory verification and calibration of measuring instruments;

·      Permission to businesses and individuals the right to manufacture, repair, sale and rental of measuring instruments.

    State metrological supervision is carried out:

·      The release, the state and the use of measuring devices, certified methods of measurement, unit standards, subject to metrological rules and norms;

·      For the amount of goods disposed in trading;

·      A number of packaged goods in packages of any kind in their packaging and marketing;

·      The condition and use of slot machines with winnings and other types of metrological control                                                                                                                and supervision.



    
The scope of the state metrological control and supervision.

Regulatory documents to ensure uniformity of measurements taken by the National Authority for Metrology, are binding on the Republic of Tajikistan.

State metrological control and supervision by objective verification of compliance with the metrological rules and norms that apply:

·       Public health, veterinary medicine, environmental protection, labor safety;

·      Transactions and mutual settlements between the buyer and the seller, including operations with slot machines and devices;

·      Public accounting operations;

·      Provision of national defense;

·      Geodetic and meteorological work;

·      Banking, tax and postal operations;

·      Manufacture of products supplied under contracts for public use in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan;

·      Testing and quality control in order to determine compliance with the mandatory requirements of state standards of the Republic of Tajikistan;

·      Mandatory certification of products and services;

·      Measurements carried out on behalf of the court, prosecutor's office, the Economic Court, the executive bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan;

·      Registration of national and international sports records.
